Driving in Italy is not for the faint of heart.
The same creativity that is applied to the arts, architecture, fashion design and food creation is applied to the road rules, for one thing. And when it comes to parking, that is when real Italian ingenuity comes out!
Driving in Italy does however afford seeing some beautiful sights.
That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to drive however!
You can also hire a driver or book a tour. By the time you pay the car rental, road tolls, fuel and parking costs, it’s not such an extravagance as it may sound.
